hey there ☺︎

I’m Jairo, a software engineer who builds across the whole stack.

Currently at Honeycomb, building AI-powered features for an observability platform. I work across the stack: Go services, React frontends, telemetry pipelines, and the agent systems tying them together. I started in front-end; I stayed for the hard problems everywhere else.

a few things about me

background
Software engineer at Honeycomb, and a Computer Science grad from CSU Dominguez Hills.
what I build
Applied AI and full-stack work: Go, TypeScript, Python, and telemetry pipelines.
after dark
Stargazing and amateur astrophotography. The darker the sky, the better.
movement
Hiking, bouldering, and strength training to stay sane.

stuff I’ve made

The PokéDex web app: a grid of Generation-1 Pokémon on type-colored tiles

Pokédex

A Generation-1 Pokédex built with React and TypeScript, pulling live data from the PokéAPI. A fun playground for practicing component design and clean UI.

how I got here

now

Software Engineer · Honeycomb

Came back full-time after interning here in 2022. These days I ship features end to end and keep taking on more of the stack: backend, data, and the AI layer.

2024

B.S. Computer Science · CSU Dominguez Hills 🎓

Graduated in May with a 3.92 GPA, focused on software engineering and how people actually use what we build.

2023

Software Development Engineer Intern · Amazon

A summer in Seattle building a full-stack app to visualize engagement metrics for 60+ internal teams, with React, Java, and AWS.

2022

Software Engineer Intern · Honeycomb

My first taste of Honeycomb: a remote internship on the front-end, shipping UX improvements and new features with React, TypeScript, and Go.

2021

Technology Intern · Prodege

Built a video-editing app prototype in Android Studio (record, clip, effects, and music) to test features for a production app.

2020

where it started

Enrolled at CSU Dominguez Hills to study Computer Science. Late-night side projects and a first taste of building for the web that never wore off.
